If any money used to develop this type of software came from pharmaceutical companies, employees, or investors there is potential for conflict of interest. Pharmaceutical companies could use access to the software to actively track patients and their side effects. Pharmaceutical companies could red flag side effects in populations using specific drugs and get an advantage on damage control. Essentially if big Pharma are invested in patient tracking software it implies they could be actively experimenting on populations of humans.
