If you want people to do things differently, using compliments, building rapport and being congruent in your mastery of communication. When mastered, the internal trigger response is heightened through awareness of language. The idea is to be aware and acknowledge their hard work and then you can give feedback on what needs to be improved so they understand where you are coming from and are more willing to adjust as advised.
