Manage episode 289086302 series 2817544
In our first ever two-person interview, we chat with former BBC Radio Jersey presenters Sarah Palmer and Roger Bara. Both well-known names in Jersey, Sarah moved to the UK in 2015 and Roger to Northern Cyprus in 2012.
We chat about the 340 days of sunshine a year that Roger and his wife enjoy on the Turkish part of the Island as well as the Mental Health issues that sent them packing over to the 44 degree heat. We talk about how wonderful life is for Roger and what a difference one island makes to another.
Sarah talks about the things she will do for love as well as the importance of being involved in her local community in Fleckney. She talks about her freelance work during the pandemic as well as her purchase of a property also in Northern Cyprus.
And both chat about their own podcast all about the lesser-known Turkish northern part of Cyprus, the beauty of the island, the friendliness of the people and the relaxed pace it provides locals and expats alike.
Stick the kettle on, grab your earphones and have a listen - enjoy!
