今天是西元2020年2月20日星期四，八年前的的這一天（2012年2月20日）成大醫學院創院院長黃崑巖病逝美國。黃崑巖院長不僅是一位具專業素養的醫學研究學者，也是一位充滿熱情的教育家，他生前對醫學教育奉獻一生心血，培育出不少醫學界的菁英分子，更是設立醫學院評鑑委員會的元老，奠定台灣醫學教育的堅固基礎。
「知識分子應該先做文化人，再做專業人」是黃崑巖院長的座右銘。
