Rufus Bobcat is Just Too Cute! In case you haven't reached cuteness overload yet! Rufus the bobcat kitten cuddles a toy as he settles in for a nap after a long day of exploring outside. A few days ago Big Cat Rescue helped 2 bobcat kittens in Fresno, CA. They had been taken from a den because the person thought their mom had been killed. We were able to find California wildlife experts who are working to either reunite the mom and kittens, or they will raise them for release if she doesn't come back for them. We called our friends at the rehab center in Ramona which is run by the Humane Society of the United States. Ali runs the facility and does a lot of bobcat work, but she was 5 hours away, so she called Cathy Garner, the Founder of the Fresno Wildlife Rehab center, which is right next to where the kittens were found. On April 18, Cathy contacted us saying, "Hello All, We are supposed to meet Kevin tonight and get the two orphaned bobcats from him at that time. We have successfully rehabbed many bobcats in the past and have the legal permits to do that. Thank you for your assistance in connecting Kevin with our rehab." It is only because of you who show up to help clean, feed, lead tours, train volunteers and do all of the hard work necessary in running Big Cat Rescue that we are able to help exotic cats all over the world. A big shout out to all of you for helping these bobcat kittens in their quest to get back to their mom! Remember, this is baby season and mother bobcats and cougars have to hunt, so if you find kittens, please leave them alone unless you are sure they are orphaned. Tribute to Rufus Bobcat Even though we knew it was touch and go for him every day, he just seemed so happy and content in between episodes that we all find it hard to believe that he is gone. In just four months he touched so many people and brought so many together for the well being and safe keeping of his kind. What a brave little angel.

I've been writing my story since I was able to write, but when the media goes to share it, they only choose the parts that fit their idea of what will generate views.
