Central nervous system (CNS) tumors account for a quarter of all cancers in children aged 1 to 19 years. Nearly 70% of CNS tumors can be effectively treated, but early detection is critical to allow for the best possible treatments and outcomes. Too often, CNS tumors are initially misdiagnosed as more common pediatric conditions such as migraine, gastroenteritis or other psychologic and behavioral problems. In this episode, we discuss the classic signs and presentations of CNS tumors to support early detection.

Our guest for today's episode is Dr. Green. Dr. Green is part of the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders Team at Children’s Hospital Colorado and is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Hematology/Oncology/and Bone Marrow Transplantation at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
