When we are emotionally dysregulated during a conversation, particularly during difficult conversations, we are unable to bring our best selves to that particular moment.

How do we foster calmness and clarity as we navigate our relationships?

  • Be selective about when you choose to have difficult conversations.
  • Get clear on the purpose of the conversation.
  • Slow down.
