Initiate records kicks off its journey as a label with “Schatz” - a mighty 8 track release representing their sound and musical direction to perfection. “Schatz” means treasure in German, and this label is on a treasure hunt for great music. From broken beats to techno, Initiate loves rich dub infused textures, complex polyrhythmic patterns and good old sound system science bass body feels, and this release does all that! “Schatz” is the track that gave the EP its name. It’s a hardy 170bpm tribal workout, layered with dubby pads and propelled by a galloping bassline.
