Christina Rasmussen is a grief educator and best-selling author of Second Firsts, Where Did You Go?, and Invisible Loss, each offering profound insights into healing and transformation after tragedy. Christina earned her master’s degree in guidance and counseling from the University of Durham before experiencing a sudden loss that shifted the course of her life. She later went on to design the Life Reentry Institute, which helps individuals move more effectively through grief and times of transition. Christina’s work has been featured on The Guardian, Oprah Daily, ABC News and other top media outlets.

In today’s episode, host Shay Beider welcomes Christina Rasmussen to the Conversations on Healing Podcast to discuss her latest book Invisible Loss. The two discuss the 3 parts of the inner self: the Survivor, who keeps us safe but is often rooted in fear; the Watcher, who silently observes and holds wisdom; and the Thriver, the confident, empowered inner child. Christina shares her personal experience with healing after losing her husband to stage 4 colon cancer and how she created the Life Reentry Model.

Christina also explains the importance of acknowledging our invisible losses to experience a more rich and evolved life. The pair discuss that through this inner journey and work, we can find the adventure and contentment that comes from living a life true to ourselves, deeply impacting those around us.
