General Hospital sees Alexis Davis, (Nancy Lee Grahn) is set on a quest to win custody of Sam McCall's (Kelly Monaco) children from Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Drew Quartermain (Cameron Mathison). Alexis believes that Jason and Drew are not fit to care for the children due to their past record and recent actions. She is even ready to go to court to ensure their safety. She might seek the help of Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), a well-known attorney in the ABC soap opera.

General Hospital sees Both Jason and Drew are making questionable decisions, with Jason even risking his life in a hostage negotiation situation while Drew was involved in an affair. Alexis, a recovered alcoholic, is determined not to let her past mistakes prevent her from providing a stable home for her grandchildren. She is confident that she can offer them the love and support they need, especially in the absence of their mother, Sam. Despite their flaws, Alexis believes she is a better caretaker for the children compared to Jason and Drew.
