Orson Welles played Lamont Cranston (aka Shadow) from 1937-38. The show ran until 1954 so there were many others who took on the role. Brett Morrison was the actor who did the most episodes. In this 1938 episode, bombings and sinking of U.S. Navy ships are taking place and the one thing that ties them together is that they were all serviced at the Sag Island Shipyard. Lamont Cranston, as the Shadow, believes a mechanical inspector named Steve Buckler is the villain, but most likely not the brains behind the operation. A confrontation takes place with a man who has a strong desire to kill "The Shadow" Orson Welles plays this role to perfection. "The Shadow" has its on Playlist on this podcast... and the number of episodes is growing.
