What's your agenda? Tune in every Wednesday night from 8-9 pm EST for an hour of gay news and issues with weekly special guest.
Tonight's special guest is Kevin 'KAOZ' Moore!
Kevin "Kaoz" Moore is a native Clevelander and an award winning writer, actor, poet and educator. Kevin began his career in the arts at the tender age of 8, The dawn of Kevin's spoken word performance career came in 1998, where after two spits at the Humidor, he was on his way to spoken word royalty as part of Black Poetic Society, a local but nationally recognized performance ensemble and Evolutionary Writer's Theatre. The Videographer's Association of America's Award of Distinction in Creative Writing belonged to Kevin in 2002 for an anti-Tobacco spoken word piece entitled “Venom”.
Kevin currently resides in Minneapolis/St Paul Minnesota and manages the HIV/Health Education program for Pillsbury United Communities. In December 2006, Kevin initiated an annual World AIDS Day observance event called Silence Equals Suicide – a showcase of local spoken word artists performing original works centered around HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention messages. Kevin received the National AIDS Education Services for Minorities (NAESM) Award of Excellence in Youth Leadership in 2007.
Kaoz is also a featured artist on Eddy J. Free’s “MadCity 2010” compilation album released May 25, 2010. Proceeds from that album go towards the Keep a Child Alive foundation, which is sponsored by Alicia Keys and provides medication to children in Africa and India living with HIV/AIDS. The Tyler Durden EP (released summer 2010) marks Kevin Kaoz Moore’s sophomore solo music/spoken word effort. He also is planning on releasing a full length album “The Intervention” early 2011.
