He explains Ellis’s cavalier attitude towards everything from his own past to his sexuality to his treatment of women, and his terrible habit of trying to actively bait people on Twitter and defend Donald Trump. Alex, meanwhile, talks about Ellis’s friendship with fellow coke-addled over-writer, Jay McInerny and how Gen X cynicism hasn’t aged well, and everyone is reminded that American Psycho is a better movie than book.
