Throughout 2020, the Milwaukee airport saw its traffic numbers hit record lows. Now, in 2021, recovery has begun with increases in monthly traffic, more flights and even new airlines. MBJ’s Margaret Naczek spoke with Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport’s Director of Public Affairs and Marketing, Harold Mester about the successes in the first six months of 2021, as well as some of the new airlines that are coming to the airport this year and next. Later, Margaret talked with fellow MBJ reporter Teddy Nykiel about her cover story on diversity and inclusion in the tech industry. They discuss how events of 2020 prompted increased discussions about diversity and inclusion in the tech space.
