1. H1N1 INFLUENZA CASES RISE AT CHILDREN’S HOSPITALS

儿童医院甲型H1N1流感病例增多

Some schools have suspended classes recently in many parts of the country due to a H1-N1 flu outbreak. The Beijing Center for Disease Prevention and Control said today that children infected with the flu are advised to stay in separate rooms. They can return to school 48 hours after flu-like symptoms【症状】 disappear. In Shanghai, children’s hospitals have reported an increase in influenza cases. Tang Xiaofan brings us more.

由于甲型H1N1流感的爆发，国内许多地区的学校最近已经停课。北京疾病预防控制中心今天建议流感儿童在单独的房间隔离，并在流感症状消失48小时后再返回学校。在上海，儿童医院报告的流感病例不断增加。记者唐晓帆带来更多报道。

The Children’s Hospital of Fudan University yesterday said its fever clinic was busy. Most patients had H1N1. The hospital has secured a normal supply of oseltamivir for flu patients. Doctors said the outbreak is due to the low flu infection rate and vaccination【疫苗接种】 rate over the past three years, as well as low immunity【免疫力】. The peak is expected to last about two weeks.

复旦大学附属儿科医院昨日表示，该院发热门诊非常繁忙，大多数患者感染了H1N1流感病毒。医院保证了奥司他韦的正常供应。医生表示，这次爆发是由过去三年流感感染率和疫苗接种率较低，以及免疫力低下引起的，预计感染高峰将持续两周左右。

“Patients need to wear masks, and so do those who have contact with them. We should also wash our hands frequently. The things we did to reduce the risk of coronavirus also help cut the chance of getting influenza.”

“患者要主动戴口罩，接触者也要戴口罩。另外还应该经常洗手，以前我们防范新冠的这一套做法用于防流感还是有作用的。”

The Central Hospital of Fengxian District also reported H1N1 cases at its pediatric clinic.

奉贤区中心医院儿科门诊也报告了甲型H1N1流感病例。

“My child developed a fever last night. He tested negative for coronavirus, so I brought him here to see whether he had H1N1.”

“昨天晚上开始发烧，（新冠）抗原检测是阴性，所以就想来看看是不是感染甲流了。”

Doctors said H1N1 often occurs in late winter and early spring. Parents were reminded to watch their children closely if they get sick.

医生表示，甲型H1N1流感经常发生在冬末和初春。医生提醒家长，孩子生病后要密切关注。

“In general, compared with a common cold, seasonal flu symptoms are more severe and the fever usually lasts longer. The biggest difference between the two is that the flu can cause more complications.”

“总体来说，与普通感冒相比，流行性感冒的症状较重，发烧持续的时间较长。两者之间最大的区别在于，流行性感冒有一定量的并发症。”

Doctors advised people to avoid large crowds, wash their hands frequently, drink more water and exercise to reduce the risk of contracting influenza.

医生建议大家避开人群，勤洗手，多喝水，多锻炼，以降低感染流感的风险。

2. JOB FAIR AT SHANGHAI JIAO TONG UNIVERSITY

上海交通大学举办招聘会

A job fair was held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Minhang campus this afternoon. Over 1,000 college graduates attended and filled out applications. Tang Xiaofan has the story.

今天下午，上海交通大学闵行校区举行了一场招聘会，超过1000名大学毕业生参加并填写了申请。记者唐晓帆带来详细报道。

More than 1,000 positions were posted by over 230 companies at the job fair. The vacancies cover emerging industries including artificial intelligence and semiconductor manufacturing.

230多家公司在招聘会上发布了1000多个职位。空缺职位涵盖人工智能和半导体制造等新兴行业。

Nearly a quarter of the companies at the job fair are either located or registered in Minhang. The district’s human resources and social security department says they will plan more activities to bring together universities and talent recruitment firms.

招聘会上近四分之一的公司位于闵行或在闵行注册。该区人力资源和社会保障部门表示，他们将策划更多的活动，把大学和人才招聘公司聚集起来。

World Cup champion Lionel Messi edged out Kylian Mbappé to take the Best FIFA Men’s Player award yesterday. This is the seventh time the Argentine won the award in 14 years, breaking a tie with six-time woman’s best player Marta of Brazil.

The shortlist of 3 players was voted on by a global panel of national team captains and coaches, selected journalists in each of FIFA’s 211 member countries, and fans online. 35-year-old Messi scored two goals in the final against France, with the South Americans emerging triumphant on penalties【点球】 following a 3-3 draw after extra time in Qatar. Argentina’s head coach Lionel Scaloni won the Best FIFA Men’s Coach Award, and the Argentine Fans won the FIFA Fan Award for the first time.
