长江三角洲示范区建设取得进展

Development of the Yangtze River Delta Integration Demonstration Zone has continued in the past three years. With environmental protection as its priority, several major projects are taking shape in the zone. Zhang Hong tells us more.

三年来，长江三角洲一体化示范区建设持续推进。以环境保护为重点，一批重点项目正在加速建设。记者张泓为您带来更多详细报道。

Construction has been going on in Qingpu on the "Watertown Living Room Blue Ring" project since June. The "Blue Ring" refers to a 30-kilometer waterway that will connect the district to Wujiang in Jiangsu, and Jiashan in Zhejiang. The project was budgeted at more than 2.3 billion yuan.

自6月以来，青浦区一直在进行“水乡客厅蓝环”项目的建设。“蓝环”指的是一条全长约30公里的水路，连接青浦区与江苏吴江和浙江嘉善。该项目预算超过23亿元。

The Qingpu section of the Blue Ring project began first and is scheduled to be completed by the end of this month. Construction on other sections of the project will be carried out with high-quality standards.

蓝环项目的青浦先导段率先开工，计划在本月底完成。该项目其他路段也将以高质量标准进行施工。

Construction of 8 other environment related projects is expected to be completed this year. They include the third phase of Yuandang Shoreline Restoration【修复】, the first phase of Mulberry【桑树】 Fish Pond, and Jiashan Xiangfudang Ecological Restoration.

其他8个生态绿色项目的建设预计将在今年完成。这些项目包括元荡岸线生态修复及功能提升三期工程、水乡客厅桑基鱼塘展示园一期工程和嘉善祥符荡生态修复提升工程。

The report delivered at the 20th CPC National Congress pointed out that harmony between humanity and nature is essential for building the country into a modern socialist country. What we’re doing fits what was highlighted in the report. We want to restore the scenery and better match the country’s new economic development pattern.

党的二十大所做的报告指出，人与自然和谐共生对于把我国建设成为社会主义现代化国家至关重要。我们现在的工作也正是在围绕着报告中强调的内容。我们希望把一些生态变成好风景，更好地配合国家的新经济发展模式。

Also, a plan was launched to build digital centers for real-time disaster pre-warning and online doctorconsultations【就诊】 in thedemonstration【示范】 zone. Qingpu, Wujiang and Jiashan also set up high-tech industry parks to promote coordinated development. Twenty policies were issued to attract talents to the Demonstration Zone.

此外，（国家"东数西算"）工程正式启动，在示范区建设实时灾害预警和远程医疗的数字中心。青浦、吴江、嘉善三地跨省域高新技术区，也在积极落地建设，推进高新产业协同发展。为吸引人才，示范区还出台了20项相关政策。

2.NEW RAILWAY TO ADD ANOTHER LINK WITHIN YANGTZE DELTA

Construction is being accelerated on the Shanghai section of a new railway linking the city to theneighboring Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. Zhang Yue bring us the latest.

Chen Xin and his colleagues from China Railway Shanghai Design Institute Group are mapping and surveying along a railway that will connect to Wujiang, Jiangsu and Jiashan, Zhejiang.

Phase one has already started. Now we are focusing on how to speed up construction work along the whole line. With support from various government bodies, the planning proposals have already been approved.

The 49-kilometer-long demonstration line’s Shanghai section starts at Fangle Road in Minhang District, and runs through Qingpu District. This part is scheduled to be completed by 2028. Construction is continuing on the northern section of the Jiamin Metro Line, which will connect Shanghai to Taicang, Jiangsu.

Shanghai government officials said this month that transportation will be more convenient in the next 10 years with the average commute time reduced to 45 minutes in downtown areas, and two hours from Shanghai to major areas within the Yangtze River Delta region.

上海市政府官员本月表示，未来10年交通将更加便利，市中心地区的平均通勤时间将减少到45分钟，从上海到长江三角洲地区内的主要地区仅需两小时。

3.GIANT PANDAS ON WAY TO QATAR

大熊猫“四海”“京京”开启卡塔尔之行

Two giant pandas from China, 4-year-old male Jing Jing and 3-year-old female Si Hai, left their breeding base in Sichuan Province yesterday for Qatar, part of a joint program on the research and protection of the animal between the two countries. It is the first giant panda co-operation program between China and the Middle East.

作为中卡两国研究和保护动物联合项目的一部分，两只来自中国的大熊猫：4岁的雄性"京京 "和3岁的雌性"四海"，昨天（10/18）离开四川省繁殖基地前往卡塔尔。这是中国和中东地区的第一个大熊猫合作项目。

The China Giant Panda Conservation and Research Center also sent experienced breeders【饲养员】 and vets to accompany the animals and help them adapt to the new environment. Experts from China have provided on-site guidance at the venue where the two pandas will live in Qatar and help establish a professional team. In May 2020, China and Qatar signed a co-operation agreement on giant panda protection and research to promote international co-operation on the protection of bio-diversity. The two giant pandas will live in Qatar for 15 years.

中国大熊猫保护研究中心也派出了经验丰富的饲养师和兽医专家陪同前往，帮助它们适应新环境。中国专家为这两只大熊猫的饲养提供现场指导，并帮助建立专业团队。2020年5月，中国和卡塔尔签署了关于大熊猫保护和研究的合作协议，以促进生物多样性保护的国际合作。这两只大熊猫将在卡塔尔生活15年。
