The 2nd Intelligent Transportation Seminar was held this morning at the National Exhibition and Convention Center as a sideline event of the ongoing CIIE. A Shanghai transportation bureau official announced that two highway sections were now open to driverless【无人驾驶的】 vehicles. Zhang Hong tells us more.

今天（11/7）上午，作为进博会配套活动的第二届智能交通上海论坛在国家会展中心举行。上海交通局的一位官员会上宣布，目前两条高速公路已对无人驾驶汽车开放。记者张泓为我们带来更多详细报道。

The two highway sections are a 21.5 kilometer stretch of the G1503 Shanghai Ring Expressway, and a 19.5 kilometer segment of the G2 Beijing-Shanghai Expressway. Additionally, more than 500 kilometers of roads are open to driverless vehicle testing in Jiading District.

此次首批开放自动驾驶的高速公路，包括 G1503绕城高速21.5公里和G2京沪高速19.5公里。此外，嘉定区500多公里的道路也开放给无人驾驶汽车测试。

There are no designated【指定的】lanes for autonomous driving. We will only limit the number of driverless vehicles on these roads during certain time periods. This helps improve carmakers improve their driverless cars.

我们不设自动驾驶的指定车道，只是在一定时间内限制这些道路上无人驾驶车辆的数量。这有助于汽车制造商改进他们的无人驾驶汽车。

So far, Shanghai has opened 926 roads for testing. They cover 1,800 kilometers and 15,000 autonomous driving scenarios. By 2025, the city plans to have more than 800 kilometers of highways and roads for smart vehicle use.

截至目前，上海已累计开放926条测试道路，共计1800公里，可测场景达到15000个。到2025年，全市将建成超过800公里的智慧高速公路和智慧城市道路。

Construction of the S32 highway will be completed by the end of the year. Some key sections can be used for cars equipped with a level 3 autonomous driving system, which will pave the way for further development of smart highways.

Guidelines for the operation of smart vehicles were also released at the seminar. Two Shanghai companies received pilot operation certificates for smart vehicles to transport cargo. The certificate allows them to charge fees for autonomous driving services.

研讨会亦公布了智能车辆的操作指引。两家上海公司获得了智能货运车辆试点运营证书。该证书允许他们为自动驾驶服务收取费用。

2.PHARMA COMPANIES SHOW THEIR LATEST BREAST CANCER TREATMENTS AT CIIE

This year global pharmaceutical【制药的】companies brought their latest breast cancer drugs to the CIIE as breast cancer has overtaken【赶上并超过】lung cancer as the world’s mostly commonly-diagnosed form of the disease. Reporter Zhang Hong takes a look.

今年，由于乳腺癌已经超过肺癌，成为世界上最常见的癌症类型，全球制药公司在进博会上带来了最新的乳腺癌药物。记者张泓带来更多详细报道。

Breast cancer has four primary molecular subtypes, and each subtype requires different medication. CIIE newcomer Gilead Sciences presented Trodelvy as a treatment for metastatic triple-negative breast cancer. The drug has been approved in over 35 countries, and is expected to enter the Chinese market very soon.

乳腺癌有四种主要的分子亚型，每种亚型需要不同的药物治疗。进博会新参展商吉利德科学将Trodelvy作为转移性三阴性乳腺癌的治疗药物展出。该药已在超过35个国家获得批准，预计很快将进入中国市场。

Trodelvy is the first antibody-drug conjugate directed at Trop-2, a cell surface antigen highly expressed in multiple tumor types. The medicine tackles some of the obstacles in breast cancer treatment. It’s our first time at the CIIE, we hope to get some exposure here, and find partners to make our drugs accessible to patients in China.

Trodelvy是一款全球首创的靶向Trop-2的抗体偶联药物，Trop-2是一种在多种肿瘤类型中高度表达的细胞表面抗原。这种药物解决了乳腺癌治疗中的一些难题。此次是我们第一次来中国进博会，我们希望在这里得到一些曝光，并找到合作伙伴，让中国的患者能够接触到我们的药品。

Most of the company’s medicines treat viral【病毒性的】and inflammatory【炎症性的】 diseases like HIV and viral hepatitis. Now Gilead is trying to expand into oncology. The medicine showcased at the CIIE hopes to be the company’s first oncology【肿瘤学】drug in China.

Fifth-time exhibitor Roche is showcasing Phesgo, a fixed-dose combination of two monoclonal antibodies that can be administered by a single subcutaneous injection. It’s used for treating HER2-positive breast cancer. The drug is undergoing a third phase of clinical trials in China. In the past, the treatment was only available by intravenous injection.

Intravenous injection usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours to complete, subcutaneous injection is much faster taking only 5 to 8 minutes. It’s a much more efficient way to receive treatment.

可以大大的缩短给药时间，从原来的1.5~2个小时，变成只需要5~8分钟的给药，能够为患者提供更为便捷灵活的治疗选择，大大提升了治疗效率。

It would be better if the injection can be included in home care services, which allows professional nurses to treat patients at home. It will be convenient for patients as they won’t need to go to the hospital in cases of a pandemic. I believe it has a broad application potential in the future.

如果能够配合我们互联网+护理服务，有资质的护理人员能够上门的话，那皮下注射就是一个比较方便的一种注射形式，可以给患者提供治疗，可能也是在疫情期间的一种比较好的方式。在今后的这个互联网时代中，我觉得是一个蛮大的发展潜力。

An expert from the Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center said the medical treatment plus radiation therapy can be used before a surgery, leaving as much normal breast tissue as possible.

复旦大学上海肿瘤中心的一位专家说，可以在手术前采用药物治疗加放疗的方式，尽可能多地保留正常的乳腺组织。

Breast cancer patients can be treated with a partial mastectomy. But for those with a large tumor, they can first be treated with medicines to reduce the tumor size and then go through a partial mastectomy. In China, only about 20% of patients have a partial mastectomy compared to 50% to 60% in developed countries, which is quite a large gap.

一些肿块比较小的，我们可以通过切除部分乳房来治疗。但是如果一个病人，发现的时候肿块比较大，通过这些有效的药物，使这个肿瘤缩小，也能够获得保乳的机会。在中国的话，保乳目前的比例大概是在20%左右，这个比例和一些发达国家50%~60%的保乳比例还是有比较大的差距。

According to the World Health Organization, breast cancer has become the most common form of cancer among Chinese women. Last year, China reported about 420,000 new cases.

根据世界卫生组织的数据，乳腺癌已经成为中国女性中最常见的癌症。去年，中国有大约42万例新病例。

In cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, the five-year survival rate of breast cancer patients stands at over 90%, in line with survival rates in developed countries.

在北京、上海、广州等城市，乳腺癌患者的5年生存率超过90%，与发达国家的生存率持平。

The objective of the WHO is to reduce global breast cancer mortality by 2.5% per year, thereby averting 2.5 million deaths globally between 2020 and 2040.

3.ISRAEL REDEFINES STEAK BY SERVING 3D-PRINTED, PLANT-BASED MEAT

An Israeli technology company has recently developed steaks that are created from plant-based beef substitutes using 3D bio-printing technology. Stephen Rancourt has more.

The 3D-printed steak was developed by Israel’s Redefine Meat. Many customers say it looks, tastes and smells similar to a regular steak.

The texture【纹理】feels right, it even smells like the right thing.

The 3D printing process can also simulate blood vessels in the meat allowing for the production of any cut of steak in any size.

There are a few varieties in labs. I can choose any one of them, and I can adjust the proportion of fat, and even define the external fat.

A German environmental expert says two-thirds of greenhouse gas emissions are related to factory farming. Producing one kilogram of chicken emits 5.5 kilograms of carbon dioxide, while a kilo of soybeans will only releases 1.1 kilograms. The 3D-printed meat is priced at 300 yuan per kilogram.

Currently, the company’s 3D-printed meat is available in nearly 1,000 restaurants in countries including Israel, the UK and Germany. The company is planning to move into Italy, Greece, and Sweden by the end of the year.
