1.LAB MODULE MENGTIAN LAUNCHED AS SPACE STATION NEARS COMPLETION
空间站接近完工，“梦天”实验舱发射任务圆满成功
The space lab module Mengtian was launched this afternoon in Hainan Province. The country’s space station will be complete when Mengtian docks 【（航天器）在太空对接】with it. Zhang Hong has more.
今天（10/31）下午，“梦天”实验舱在海南省发射升空。待“梦天”实验舱与空间站组合体在轨完成交会对接，我国的空间站发射任务即取得圆满成功。记者张泓带来更多详细报道。
The Long March-5B Y4 carrier rocket, carrying Mengtian, blasted off from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site at 3:37pm.
下午3点37分，搭载着梦天实验舱的长征五号B遥四运载火箭腾空而起，直冲云霄。
About eight minutes later, Mengtian separated from the rocket and entered its preset【预定的】 orbit. The China Manned Space Agency declared the launch a complete success.
飞行约8分钟后，梦天实验舱与火箭成功分离，并准确进入预定轨道，发射任务取得圆满成功。

The rocket performed quite well after it blasted off. All the curves we saw were exactly as we expected. We wish all the best for the rest of Mengtian’s flight before it docks with the Tiangong tomorrow morning. The space station will be shaped like the letter "T".

Mengtian is the station’s second lab module. It weighs more than 20 tons and will be used for microgravity【微重力】scientific research. It’s equipped with cabinets for fluids and materials.
梦天实验舱是（继问天舱之后的）第二个科学实验舱，它重达20多吨，将用于微重力科学研究，且配置了流体物理、材料科学等多学科方向实验柜。
Astronauts will be able to do experiments in combustion science, basic physics and aerospace technology. Several steps remain though before Mengtian docks with the space station.

After docking with the space station, the transposition process will begin. This is different from the Wentian lab module. Then, the Mengtian’s system will be connected to the space station, creating an environment for human activities. Our crew members will enter the Mengtian after all these steps are completed.
梦天实验舱与空间站组合体实施交会对接以后，紧接着实施梦天实验舱的转位工作，这是与问天实验舱之间的差异。转位之后才进行并网的操作控制，另外建立载人的环境，然后就是我们的航天员进驻梦天实验舱。
The space station has a crew of three astronauts who have in orbit for more than four months. They have been preparing for the arrival of Mengtian.

2.CIIE’S FIRST REFRIGERATED FOOD PRODUCTS ARRIVE
进博会第一批冷藏食品运抵
The first shipment of imported refrigerated【冷冻的】food products for exhibits at the 5th CIIE arrived at the National Exhibition and Convention Center this afternoon, after disinfection 【消毒】 and PCR testing. More than 2,000 boxes of food displays have already arrived at the warehouse in Qingpu district. Song Wenjing has the story.
第一批用于第五届进博会展品的进口冷藏食品在经过消毒和PCR检测后，于今天（10/31）下午抵达国家会展中心。目前已有2000多箱食品展品抵达青浦区的仓库。记者宋雯静带来更多详细报道。
A truck carrying imported refrigerated food products for the 5th CIIE arrived at a warehouse in Qingpu district this afternoon. Market regulators scanned the QR codes on the packages to check their inspection and disinfection certificates as well as proof of negative PCR test results.
今天（10/31）下午，一辆为第五届进博会运送进口冷藏食品的卡车抵达青浦区的某仓库。市场监管部门扫描了包装上的二维码，检查其检验检疫证明、消毒证明以及核酸检测阴性证明。
The exhibits were then subject to a check on handover lists before being brought into the CIIE venue by designated trucks.
展品在由指定的卡车运进进博会会场前要经过移交清单的检查。

We implemented handover lists for imported refrigerated food products for the fifth CIIE this time to ensure on-time delivery. They are transported by designated trucks, which will not stop or transfer cargo【货物】on the way, to prevent the cargo from possible infection.
我们这次落实了第五届进口博览会进口冷链食品的移交清单。这样可以确保货物的准时运达，同时车辆是专车专用，也就是车辆在中途不进行停留和中转，以确保货物防疫安全。
Market regulators say they will strengthen patrols and inspections on imported refrigerated food products and their certificates at the CIIE venue from tomorrow. To ensure water safety during the CIIE, the city’s major water supply companies have set up a working group.
市场监管部门表示，从明天（11/1）起，他们将加强对进口冷藏食品及其证书的巡逻和检查。为确保进博会期间的用水安全，本市主要供水企业成立了一个工作小组。
Xujing water treatment plant in Qingpu is one of them. The plant has upgraded its water treatment techniques to make itself the first water plant to add liquid carbon dioxide to water to improve quality. The water plant has set up six teams to monitor and analyze key water quality indicators to ensure the safety of the water supplied to the CIIE.

The company has also built a water monitoring system at the National Exhibition and Convention Center. The system also provides real-time data for sewage treatment and flood control.

3.RUSSIA HALTS PARTICIPATION IN GRAIN DEAL

Russia has suspended its participation in a landmark agreement that allowed grain exports from Ukraine, blaming drone attacks on Russian ships in Crimea. Lei Shuran has the story.

The Russian Defense Ministry cited an alleged Ukrainian drone as the reason for suspending the grain shipments. The attack against ships of its Black Sea fleet moored off the coast of occupied Crimea, occurred early on Saturday. Ukraine has denied the attack.

The deal to unlock grain exports signed between Russia and Ukraine and brokered by Turkey and the UN in July is critical to easing the global food crisis caused by the conflict. The agreement was scheduled to be renewed next month.

The U.N. informed the Russian delegation ahead of the move. Russia and Ukraine are both major grain suppliers to the world.
