Sci-fi takes some questionable turns in an apocalyptic “comedy” (Silent Night) and a kidnapping drama that is questionably referred to as “science fiction” (Encounter). Surprisingly there is no such label on the story of people who believe they are animals (Wolf). Erik reminds you of a Toronto fest documentary that is now available on HBO (Listening to Kenny G) which may be just the come down you need after another HBO premiere about the life and loss of Adrienne Shelly (Adrienne). Then finally when Paul Verhoeven has lesbian nuns challenge the status quo of 17th century Catholism, you say “YES!” (Benedetta).
