In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham and Chris Trevino are back in studio LIVE talking about USC releasing the official spring football schedule which is slightly different from what was Tweeted out before from a Trojan athletics staff member. The first spring practice will be held this Sunday, March 5 with two more practices on Tuesday and Wednesday (March 7 and 8) before the university goes on spring break. The squad will get back at it on Tuesday March 21 with a regular Tuesday, Thursday Saturday rotation for four weeks straight, leading up to the spring game on Saturday, April 15.

Some practices will be partially open to the media and some will also have player and coach availability for interviews after practice. We are expecting an official spring prospectus and roster sometime before the first practice.

With spring practice starting up this weekend, our Chris Trevino analyzed the roster and made his projections for how the offensive and defensive depth charts will look like. The guys take a look at Chris' depth charts and comment on which position groups could have the most intrigue throughout spring football.

On the recruiting front the NCAA dead period ends on Wednesday, March 1, so the football program can once again start hosting visitors to campus including prospects coming to what the Trojans during spring practices.

As the Trojans off-season workouts wind down, strength and conditioning coach Bennie Wylie threw a new wrinkle into his program, hosting a game of dodgeball for all of the players and coaches.

CBS also gives their best guest on which Big Ten programs will be pegged to be USC's "permanent" opponents starting in 2024 and the Pac-12 is moving its 2023 media day (the Trojans last) to Las Vegas, held on July 21.
