We also talk with FMC Corp.’s Matthew Pye about biologicals and other at-plant inputs ahead of the 2024 planting season, and Rural Minds’ Julie Lux stops by to talk about mental health resources in rural America and a partnership with FMC. In our “Meat Monitor” segment, we hear from Lucia Ruano about efforts to create new markets for U.S. red meat in Central America, in “The Dirt with Nutrien” Senior Agronomist Mike Howell talks about understanding what nutrients are left in the soil ahead of planting season, and in “Bushels and Cents,” Ray Bohacz encourages farmers to get out and check their tire pressure as the temperatures drop. The episode also features the music of one of the nation’s premier Hank Williams tribute artists, Wyatt Aleman.
