Fruits of the Spirit are evidence of our union with Christ. When you come to know the Lord, the Holy Spirit begins dwelling in you. The Spirit then guides you to produce fruit and make you look more like Christ. If we claim to be united with Christ, but see no fruit in our lives then we need to address it. In this Respond women’s session, Sarah Conti walks through each fruit of the Spirit mentioned in 1 Corinthians 13.
There are fruits of the Spirit and fruits of the flesh. We need to look more like the Lord and less like our flesh.
Counterfeit fruit won’t last. We can’t decorate our lives to look clean—like we’re “good Christian women”. We will fail in this sometimes but the Lord is so patient with our failures and continues sanctifying us. Let’s walk in a manner worthy of the Gospel and produce fruit that looks more like the Lord.
