On this weeks Podcast, we sit down with hair expert, Omar Spina from John of Italy Salon located in Westlake Village. Omar is the son of hair stylist, entrepreneur and owner of John of Italy Salon. John came to Westlake Village from Sicily, Italy in 1982 to visit a relative and ended up buying property. The rest is history, but thankfully, Omar is here to spill the secrets on how his Italian roots have planted so well here for the last 35 years.

What sets John of Italy apart from other salons?

Their deep Italian roots created a family filled atmosphere. Not only do you leave the salon looking your very best, but you leave with a warm friendly experience. Hairdressers naturally become good friends and even therapist for some clients.

John made sure to keep up with the times by constantly being flexible as he reinvents the salon. The salon started out small but has been expanding over the years. They even incorporated a full service Spa. This is a clients dream salon that has come to life.

John and Omar have also recently opened an incredible Italian restaurant called Nonna, which means Grandmother in Italian. Stop in for a delicious meal after you get a fresh new look from John of Italy.
