The more you give the more you receive. In honor of National Physician’s Week and the one-year anniversary of the Mindful Healthcare Collective, this episode is both a celebration and a chance to learn.
One year ago, the Mindful Healthcare Collective was formed urgently at the outset of the pandemic to support those working in healthcare through this tragically difficult time. Over the past year, it has blossomed into so much more.
The Mindful Healthcare Collective is now a vibrant community of over 2100 healthcare professionals from across the country and the world who are coming together to heal themselves, learn, grow and support one another through the challenges of working in healthcare at this moment.
The Mindful Healers Podcast is an offshoot of the Mindful Healthcare Collective as is the Mindful Healing Collective. The Mindful Healing Collective is a group for those who do not work in healthcare but who would also like to discover the beauty and freedom from suffering that comes from choosing to live a more mindful and intentional life.
Wisdom and tips for mindful living shared in this episode:
Be open to new things
Start where you are
Pause, be present and notice.
Be curious and follow clues.
Don't forget about your body sensations.
Start with something simple and be consistent.
Practice and keep showing up.
Prioritize rest, quiet, and dark.
Work to grow self-acceptance and self-compassion.
Weave in mindfulness where you can.
