Emergency pod! This is a special episode with Mercede Erfanian, one of the co-authors of the very recent paper, "The motor basis for misophonia", led by Dr. Sukhbinder Kumar. Mercede has been studying the neuroscience of misophonia for years and has many projects in the works to hopefully lead to developing more therapies. We talk all about the most recent results of her work and others researching the neuroscience behind misophonia in a way that is very approachable for non-scientists. We also talk about the strong connection between psychology and neuroscience, comorbid conditions, the neuroscience of ASMR, hyperacusis and much more.
