For many of us racism seems like a thing of the past, like something that 'used' to happen. There is a common attitude that if it doesn't happen to me, it's just not happening--sadly, this was exactly my same mindset. That's simply not true. With the killing of George Floyd earlier this year we as a nation have seen just how much racism still exists in The Land of The Free.
I got to sit down and have a candid and raw conversation with a friend and fitness influencer about her own experiences as a woman of color. Mari also opens up about how she is raising the next generation of fierce young girls to love their bodies and their skin no matter the shade or size.
