I have an Awesome, Healthy Snack for you!

Today, I am making Sunflower Lentil Spread.

Each serving is just 240 calories and the recipe will give you four servings. One each day for four days.

let's get to the recipe:

Sunflower Lentil Spread

Lentils are a good source of iron AND Lentils Boost your Metabolism. This is a “savory recipe” and makes four 240-calorie servings, which is perfect for a satisfying & filling snack. You get 10 grams each of protein and fiber, it's satisfying enough to keep you energized until your next meal. Ingredients

1 (15-ounce) can lentils, rinsed and drained (I prefer cooking my lentils….this is faster)

1 tablespoon lemon juice (squeeze a fresh lemon)

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

2 tablespoons sunflower seeds

1 celery stalk, finely diced

1 scallion, finely diced

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1 Slice of Dave’s Killer 21 Whole Grain & Seed Bread

Everyone Knows I LOVE Dave’s Killer Bread…..

Dave's Killer Bread Thin-Sliced 21 Whole Grains and Seeds With lots of great taste and texture, this slice is one of the healthiest slices you can buy.

Per Slice: 60 calories, 1g fat (0 g sat fat), 12g carbs, 3g sugar, 3g fiber, 3g protein

Instructions

  1. Combine lentils, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a blender; blend until it looks smooth.
  2. Put Mixture into a bowl. Stir in sunflower seeds, celery, scallions, and parsley.
  3. Toast 1 slice of Dave’s Killer Bread. Add ¼ of the Lentil spread.
  4. Eat & Enjoy!
