We are the chroniclers of history.
We are journalists, and this course teaches how to report, write and publish through every means at our disposal--from conventional paper to digital conversations.
Join me as we learn to develop ideas into stories, and to see the news that surrounds us. Together we will learn to find and ask the right questions of sources, so that we get information readers need and want to know.
Through this course we will write the facts and help readers understand just what those facts mean to them. We will explore and create news and features, opinions and reviews, blogs and social media and multimedia.
We will learn the meaning of "the best obtainable version of the truth," as cited by legendary reporter Bob Woodward, and how to report that and more.
And we will do it all as mobile journalists, better known as "mojos," using iPad technology to learn, execute and publish our reporting.
Open your eyes and mind wide, look at the world in terms of what readers and viewers need to know, and let's get started creating the next generation of news media makers.
