Today, we continue to touch upon some colloquialism!

* colloquialism = 俗話

今天給大家介紹一些吐嘈抱怨的短語!

One scene involves Boomer (the dog), Jasmine, and Steve.

Steve is Will Smith's character. Jasmine is Steve's girlfriend. In this scene, Boomer does something really cute, and Jasmine says to Steve, "he's trying to impress you."

• "He's trying to impress you" means he wants you to think he's really amazing.
• The word "impress" is often mis-translated, 這個 "impress" 不是留下深刻印象!
• To be tired of something 不是感到厭倦! It means to have had enough of something = 受夠了

In another scene, Constance says to the President, "I don't know how you put up with him!" 我不知道你是怎麼忍受他的！

• To put up with someone = to deal with someone, to be with someone = 忍受某人, 不是把某某放在哪裡!
