Following on from our episode on George Floyd’s murder and the much-needed conversations it has sparked about racial inequalities in all aspects of our lives, this week we’re focusing on Covid-19 and its effects on Black (and BAME at large) communities in the UK. We talked about the specifics of being a BAME patient, but also the effects on BAME healthcare workers, what this crisis has highlighted about systemic racism in the UK, and what the Opposition should be pressuring on in the next 12 months.
Speakers:

Martin Edobor - https://twitter.com/martinedobor GP, Vice Chair of the Fabian Society and Ex Young Fabian Chair

Christabel Cooper - https://twitter.com/ChristabelCoops Data Analyst and Councillor in Hammersmith

Tom Gardiner - https://twitter.com/tom_gardiner95 Junior Doctor, Member of the Fabian Society executive committee and trustee at 180 Charity
