On this Episode of the New Grad Physical Therapist Success Blueprint we have special guest Angelica Napolitano. Angelica is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who graduated from FIU in the Summer of 2016 and is the founder of Optimal PT and Wellness.
She began working part time on a temporary license one week after graduating while studying for boards. Her first job out of school was pretty nontraditional as she served patients who were battling with significant addiction and substance abuse disorders. Initially, the job gave her a sense of purpose and passion, and despite being a new grad, Angel was quickly promoted to regional manager.
Her excitement was fueled by ambitious optimism and systematic innovation, which would very early on become replaced by fear, resentment, and negativity. Professional suicide and burnout consumed her life washing away any happiness that remained. 27 years old and 100,000 dollars later, giving up was her only option until she took a risk.
2018 came around and Angel took a leap of faith and invested in a mentor. In the beginning, her investment was geared towards the company in hopes of fixing what seemed irreversible. But two weeks into her mentorship, she learned this investment wasn’t about helping or fixing others, but about HER new beginning. That’s when she started her own cash based practice. Soon thereafter, she would quit her fulltime job to focus solely on her business, once again discovering happiness and her passion for PT.
This January will mark the 1 year anniversary of her new beginning. She successfully runs her own cash based practice in Jupiter, FL that is continuously thriving upon her true core values, purpose, and brand identity. This is her story…
