It was a great weekend for the Milwaukee Brewers after a sweep of the Cincinnati Reds. With the playoffs suddenly looking a little bit more like a strong possibility, it's time to think about how this team can improve its roster. Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe discuss the upcoming trade deadline and name a bunch of potential names. Before that, they discuss the big sweep, with dynamite pitching performances from the starters and bullpen. But the offense ... still shaky. Now that the all-star break has come and gone, how can they fill some of the more glaring holes?
Curt's take of the week in Curt Blanche offers one move the Brewers can make without making any trades, and Remembrew When looks back at a series of 1-0 games in the franchise's infancy.
Then, JR is joined by Erik Kratz (1:10.00), former Brewers catcher on the 2018 team that went to the National League Championship Series. Kratz talks about his time in Milwaukee and career in general, both elements of the new book 'The Tao of the Backup Catcher.' Kratz also happens to host a regular baseball show on YouTube called 'Foul Territory' featuring a number of ex-big leaguers.
