Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. In this episode, Circle Jerks guitarist and all-around punk rock icon Greg Hetson discusses the writing, recording, release, and legacy of the 1980 Circle Jerks song "Back Against the Wall." Recorded essentially for free during the studio's after-hours, Group Sex became a classic album that launched the band's career, with this particular song serving as their very first composition.
