On this week’s episode of True Crime New England, the girls talk about the story behind Netflix’s popular docuseries, “Trial 4”, which tells the story of a young man accused of a crime he did not commit. In 1993, corrupt Boston Police Officer John Mulligan was shot in the face while sleeping in his car. With the help of his equally corrupt colleagues, 19-year-old Sean Ellis was a scapegoat for the murder and spent 22 years of his life in prison. After fighting hard, he was able to get his charges dropped and become a free man. Join Katie and Liz as they give the details of this extremely compelling case.
