About the guest, Joe Simonetta:
Joseph R. Simonetta is a humanist author and speaker with a rich academic background, holding degrees from Harvard Divinity School, the University of Colorado, and Penn State University. Born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and raised in a working-class family, he has lived in various locations across the U.S. and abroad, including Greece and New Zealand.
Simonetta has led a diverse career as an Army officer, professional athlete, entrepreneur, architectural designer, and environmental activist. He has also been a real estate developer, author, and senior editor of the World Business Academy. A two-time nominee for the U.S. Congress, he serves on the board of The Secular Community.
An accomplished athlete, Simonetta won a gold medal in the Sprint Triathlon at the 2023 U.S. National Senior Games in the 80-84 age division. He is married to Susana Rojas Simonetta, and they have two children: Russell and Fiorella.
