Has Bob Melvin been a bad manager this year? In this Midweek Review our farmers sharpen their pitchforks while discussing the performance of Bob Melvin. Then they review the month 5 MVPs, Unsung Heroes, Most Improved and nominate candidates for next month's Most Improved. I bet you can guess which manger made that list.
In the Lightning Round the farmers go to jail, Matthew goes golfing, and Ben gives investment advice.
On the cocktail side of things Ben is drinking a Martini while Matthew is drinking an Embassy Cocktail. Recipes below.
Martini (5:1)
- 2 oz London Dry Gin
- 1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
- 3 Olives for garnish
Combine gin and vermouth in a mixing glass with ice. Stir for 15 seconds. Strain into a chilled Martini glass. Garnish with olives on a cocktail pick.
Embassy Cocktail
- 1 oz Cognac (brandy)
- 1 oz White Rum (1-3 year old)
- 1 oz Cointreau
- 3/4 oz Lime Juice
- 1 Dash Angostura Bitters
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled. Double strain into a coupe glass.
