He became launch presenter of a ground-breaking news service on BBC Three during which time he covered the 9/11 disaster.In 2002 Sumit was chosen to be the face of the new BBC One current affairs strand Inside Out. In 2004 he joined BBC Holiday as a regular travel reporter.
