L'astéroïde 99942 Apophis passera près de la Terre le 13 avril 2029. On s'attend à ce qu'il rate notre planète de peu (environ 30000 km), mais ça pourrait changer si la trajectoire d'Apophis était perturbée par une interaction avec un autre astéroïde entre-temps. Un duo d'astrophysiciens s'est intéressé à ce cas et a identifié une rencontre rapprochée entre Apophis et un autre gros astéroïde en décembre 2026... Ils publient leur étude dans The Planetary Science Journal.
