God's Spirit moved over the Waters Even when your life is in chaos, you can be sure that God is at work! It may be imperceptible to you, but rest assured He is at work! Definition of "Moved" (via CWSB): רָחַף rāḥap̱: A verb meaning to move, to hover, to tremble. In a participial form, it describes God’s Spirit hovering over the great waters at the beginning of God’s creative acts (Gen. 1:2). It describes an eagle hovering over her young. It indicates the shaking or trembling of a person’s bones because of fear and anxiety (Jer. 23:9). 4.
