In the U S., widowhood impacts a significant portion of women, especially among those aged 65 and older, leading to emotional, financial, and physical challenges. Support systems – including social connections and therapy, become even more crucial.
Today's guest helps widows and retiring women embrace their new lives. She is Dr. Pamela Jackson-Smith, a Certified Life Purpose Coach – Dr. Pam, as she is called, is the Founder and Owner of Jacksmith Coaching and Consulting. Despite the loss of both her husband and several loved ones within a short period, suffering a brain injury, and undergoing open heart surgery - all while working to find herself again, Dr. Pam came out on the other side unscathed - a steadfast symbol of resilience for women searching for purpose later in life.
