How does being a contractor and a business owner relate aside from the fact that a contractor is a business owner as well?

I'm the only African in a high mastermind group where you only find millionaires (I'm the only non-millionaire among the group) and I remember one of my mentors go over his process of managing over 12 businesses in 2015. Crazy right?

It's even crazier how he goes about it without burning out or running out of resources...
