His wife, Dara Gottfried, and the curation team at Clown Jewels came together to hand-pick the greatest bits from footage captured by filmmaker Neil Berkeley for his 2017 documentary Gilbert.. Gilbert Gottfried passed on April 12, 2022, from ventricular tachycardia caused by Myotonic Dystrophy Type 2.
