Hello everybody, in this episode I've got Tathagat Varma, also known as TV. Not only is his name unique, but so is his career journey and personality. He is a PhD scholar in AI Business. Previously, an ex-Computer Scientist with Defence Research and Development Organisation, he was the youngest member of the 13th Indian Scientific Expedition to Antarctica in 1993-95 for 16 icy-cold months. The expedition also taught him invaluable things much beyond the technical aspects of his work. He shares some of his unique experiences of how he witnessed human behaviour up close, and the nature of experimentation. He talks about the sociological impact that unlocked a new dimension of his personality.

This conversation elaborates beautifully on the facets of an organically evolving culture, a sum total of the mental models shared by a majority of people, as he defines it. A big advocate of servant leadership, he explains why he believes it is an enabler of success in the future and how it is complex in the Indian context. We talk about embracing multiple shared identities and cultural agility.

With a mantra of ‘Life is what you make it’, this conversation is an eye-opener about the different worlds people carry in themselves and viewing failure in a realistic manner. So sit tight and enjoy this wonderfully interesting conversation while channelling the spirit of an Attitude Makeover.
