Az Iggy Pop 1981-ben megjelent Party albumán szereplő Bang Bang c. számmal nem véletlenül azonos nevű "Rock and Roll" műsor két hetente vasárnap délután 3-tól jelentkezik kb. egy órában. A műsor javát az utóbbi 60 év zenei anyagának közel 35 év alatt fölcsipegetett gyűjteményéből válogatjuk ki. Igyekszünk ennek a kornak megragadni és közvetíteni bizonyos lenyomatait (garage, punk, 60'-s, psychedelic, exotica, jungle, industrial, aussie, independent, detroit style, etc.), különösen a kevésbé ismert anyagokat és ritkaságokat bemutatni. Ezen túlmenően a műsor bemutatja - a szerkesztők szűrőjén kersztül - a kortárs bandák főként friss megjelenésű, de régebbi albumait is. A BangBang-ben - természetesen zenével fűszerezve - aktuális koncertajánlók és beszámolók, életmű bemutatások is elhangzanak, valamint élő riporotok is hallhatók egyes előadókkal. The similarity between the Iggy Pop song BangBang recorded in 1981 and the title of the radio show is not a chance. This one hour ’rock and Roll’ program is on the air on every second Sunday from 3PM. Based on the selection of nereby 40 years we intend to present the best of last 70 years’ music, indicating and broadcasting its several aspects (garage, punk, 60'-s, psychedelic, exotica, jungle, industrial, aussie, independent, detroit style, etc.), especially the less known materials and rarities. Beside the past decades we are focusing on the present as well, the editors bring the new and former releases of their favourite contemporary bands.
