Dabei kommen analytische Perspektiven ebenso zu Wort wie Gedanken zur musikalischen Aufführung, theologischen Deutung sowie zur allgemeinen Rezeption. Die Gaechinger Cantorey musiziert die Choräle exklusiv für diese Episode, Stefan Müller-Ruppert rezitiert gehaltvolle Texte zu den Chorälen des Thomaskantors und rundet damit die musikalische Reise der Bachakademie in die Welt ihres Namensgebers ab.

Using selected movements from Johann Sebastian Bach's works, Conductor Hans-Christoph Rademann and Chief Dramaturg Henning Bey explain the »fascination of Bach's chorale«. Analytical perspectives as well as thoughts on musical performance, theological interpretation and general reception are the focus of the talk. The Gaechinger Cantorey plays the chorales exclusively for this episode, Stefan Müller-Ruppert recites texts to the chorales of the Cantor at St. Thomas and rounds off the musical journey of the Bach Academy into the world of its name giver.
