Almost 162 years after the publication of Charles Darwin’s “The Origin of Species,” humanity and especially Christianity continues to wrestle with its provocative and often divisive theory of evolution. Why the longevity of its divisiveness? For many Christians, be they fundamentalist or mainline, the prevailing belief is that science should never inform orthodoxy. From our behaviors and legislation to the sustainability of the church itself, evolution has the power to shape spiritual communities like no other. Join us this week as Pastor Tony Minear, Ph.D. begins his new sermon series, "Evolving..." and explores evolution's impact not only on humanity but on the church itself. On its current trajectory, will the Christian church with its centuries-old tenants and provisions survive? Or do we adapt and change to reach a new generation? Recorded live at Beatitudes Church in Phoenix, AZ on 05/02/21 Preaching: Rev. Tony Minear, Ph.D. Scripture: Genesis 2:4-7 Scripture Reader: ellie hutchison If you like what you hear, consider donating at: https://beatitudeschurch.org/donate/
