Brooke USA: About Moving Forward features conversations with Board Chair Katherine Kaneb, Moti Ferder of Lugano Diamonds and Brooke USA Ambassador Hannah Selleck.
Katherine Kaneb is the recently elected Chair of the Board for Brooke USA and the founder of Brooke USA’s Sunset Polo and White Party, the organization’s signature event and leading fundraiser. Her philanthropic work is extensive for many well-known organizations but nothing compares to her extraordinary commitment to Brooke USA which includes public relations, fundraising and advocacy. For the last five years, her efforts through Brooke USA's Sunset Polo and White Party have raised over $1.8 million for the organization. In this episode she discusses plans for the upcoming event.

Hannah Selleck is also a world-class equestrian, competing as a jumper at the Grand Prix level. She is the winner of the Silver Team Medal at the Prix de States in 2005 and the 16-year-old Equitation Championship at Capitol Challenge in 2006. Opting out of both the arts and the corporate worlds, Hannah now runs a Descanso Farm’s boutique breeding stable based out of El Campeon Farms in Thousand Oaks, California. She not only rides, trains and competes but also makes it a priority to give back to the sport that shaped her life, serving as an ambassador for Brooke USA since 2016.
The mission of Brooke USA is to significantly improve the welfare of working horses, donkeys and mules and the people they serve throughout Asia, Africa, the Middle East, the Americas and the Caribbean by raising funds and responsibly directing them to the areas of greatest need. Brooke USA accomplishes this through a holistic approach to funding which includes capacity building, sustainability programming, female empowerment and international advocacy. Brooke USA connects private philanthropists with their passion for helping relieve the suffering of working equines and their owners. Brooke USA raises funds to support a wide variety of programs for working horses, donkeys and mules to help them become (and remain) healthy and happy, now and in the long-term, which also benefits the poor families who depend on those animals to help them earn a living.
