This is episode 8 in the “All Psyched Up About” series dedicated to the work of clinical psychologist, Daniel McMillan and his team at Assured Psychology, whereby each episode seeks to highlight a variety of issues and topics around mental health.

In this episode, I was joined in the podcast studio by Dr. Robyn Lett, Registered Psychologist at Assured Psychology. The key areas of discussion focussed on

  • ADHD and neurodivergence and the new era of the workplace
  • goal setting vs intention setting (e.g., New Year resolutions, goal setting in life and career)
  • self-regulation as a primary strategy for well-being

Dr. Lett made reference to the following quote from writer and playwright, James Baldwin, that is fitting in the case of challenges people may face on a daily basis:

“Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”

  • "ADHD 2.0" - Edward Hallowell and John Ratey
  • "Women with ADHD" - Sari Solden and Michelle Frank
