Daryl Peace is the co-founder of Slate Seven consultancy company for small business owners and entrepreneurs. He also serves on the board for Nova Labs, a makerspace in Reston, VA that encourages STEM education through hands-on instruction. Mr. Peace is a Baltimore native and graduate of GW University Business School.
Isiah Thomas is passionate about community development and wants to get as many people as possible involved in local politics to make the needed changes our country deserves . He’s been in the Air National guard for 19 years and currently works for the federal government.
Daryl, Isiah, Alyia, and Katie discuss colorism and its impact on black and brown communities. The group shares their individual stories and experiences and provides insight on how we can begin a meaningful dialogue on the topic.
