This episode begins with Bobby, a farmer who is surveying the dying plants in one of his fields when a raging wildfire appears on the horizon. He must then race to get to his two sons before the fire consumes everything in its path and everything Bobby holds dear.
Wildfires are becoming more prevalent as droughts are becoming more severe, turning once lush vegetation into dry kindling, providing ample fuel for these fires to spread faster and burn longer. Families around the world are losing their homes, their livelihoods, their sense of well-being.
Debra provides an update on the Chuck Schumer/Joe Manchin oil permitting deal. Spoiler: It's good news for the planet and bad news for Joe Manchin.
The episode ends with another small step each of us can take to help in the efforts to save our planet.
